RAD - Rock- and Landslide

 

 

 

NGRT RAD is a system designed to detect any objects which has fallen on the rails and subsequently could result in a derailment, a train stuck in snow or a mud-slide as well as potentially lead to a wash-out of the tracks.

 

These amongst other scenarios. A NGRT Main Assembly with 4 Vibration Detection Unit’s per track is installed with a typical separation distance of five kilometers. After detecting anomalies and evaluating the type of anomaly, a warning is sent to the specific and identified customers’ location, whether this is the train operational center and control or for instance the maintenance team or Track Engineers.
